Choosing Between In-Home and Remote Consultations

In-home and remote consultations are pretty similar in depth, but serve different purposes. If you’re unsure about what to choose, you can always chat with me about it, but here is some clarity as to why you’d choose one over the other.

Remote consultations may be best when…

  • Your cat(s) are skittish or unfriendly with visitors, and tend to hide, become aggressive, or become very stressed by visitors.

  • You have an unusual schedule and need to have consultations during early or late hours.

  • You’re uncomfortable with in-home consults for any reason, or just like the convenience of remote!

In-home consultations may be best when…

  • Your cat(s) are friendly or neutral with visitors, so I can accurately observe their behavior.

  • You’re dealing with inter-cat aggression, especially around territory in your house.

  • You have a hard time using technology, don’t have experience with Zoom, Skype, Facetime, etc.

  • You need hands-on help being instructed in techniques like clicker training.

  • You need help arranging cat-friendly space in your home.
